Nearly time for the Airlie Beach sessions. If you would like a session up north there is still some availability.
I had a lovely day mentoring Michelle from Michelle Gilbertson Photography. She travelled all the way from South Australia! We started off with a newborn session followed by editing and marketing and ended our day with a late afternoon family and children’s session. There was also lots of general photography discussion throughout the day. Here’s what we got up to …
Photography mentoring sessions are one on one so they will be geared towards your individual needs and the areas you would most want to work on, but here is a rough outline of the what we would cover.
Camera settings, lenses and equipment
How to connect with clients
Ideas for each age level and what to focus on
Posing children and families
Guiding clients with clothing options
Getting creative and finding inspiration
Indoor techniques with natural light
Styling a shoot and using props
Finding great locations
Backlighting and how to find gorgeous light
Editing in photoshop CS5 covering lots of editing techniques and tips
Using actions (yes I use actions! It speeds up my workflow and gives me the results I like)
Marketing, branding and how to find those clients
Pricing and products
7 hours jam packed full of all things photography!
This includes two shoots of your choice either newborn, children or family. The children’s shoot will have a creative theme including props.
Also included is a 30 page workbook which covers all the above so you don’t need to be taking notes all day and have something to refer back to.
You are more than welcome to email me photos after the session for critique or ask any questions you may have. This will be ongoing support for as long as you wish.
